Eco-Breaks
Eco-Breaks in Northern Ireland
Holidays to relax your body and enliven your soul.
Certified Ecotourism
We have tailored various types of holidays, including yoga, painting and photograpy breaks, which have been certified according to the Greenbox Ecotourism Standard. This means that all the key elements of ecotourism are met as part of the experience. (More details can be found on http://www.greenbox.ie/). Please check the Blaney Spa and Yoga Centre website or contact us to find out what upcoming breaks are on offer.
Environment
Blaney Spa is committed to protecting the environment and a range of measures have been taken to ensure that environmental impacts are reduced. The business is a champion for local and organic food, believing that these methods of production are best for nature. Only eco-friendly products are used in the day to day management of the spa. The new timber built spa building, which was completed in 2007, has been designed to maximise solar gain for heating purposes and plans are in place to install solar hot water heating systems in the autumn of 2007.
Learning
By choosing Blaney Spas packages you are guaranteed that your holiday will not only be a relaxing break but also a rich learning experience that you can treasure for years to come. Gabrielle has designed her breaks so that guests can really delve into and appreciate the nature of the Fermanagh region and its diversity. You will be discovering an untapped part of Fermanagh and its hidden beauty, as well as learning new skills and forming new concepts and ideas along the way. Communication in a range of languages is catered for at the centre and in particular, German, French and English.
Conservation
Blaney Spa is committed to preserving and conserving their local environment and undertake regular lakeshore cleanups of the Blaney area. The Blaney farm has been designated an Environmentally Sensitive Area (ESA) and as a result, a range of conservation and protection measures are adhered to.
Benefiting the local community
By choosing to come to Blaney Spa you are helping to support a number of businesses and individuals in a predominantly rural area of Ireland. All the centres guides and teachers live locally and much of the food available is sourced from local growers and farmers markets.
